We are making a multi-step, multi-faceted approach to offering resources and up-to-date information regarding severe weather and hazards to life and property. Our hope is to be able to connect people to the information and organizations they need in order to mitigate losses due to severe weather.

In 2016 we officially started pursuing our mission to explore the intersectionality of severe weather, property loss and preparedness. Our small team consisted of two undergraduate students who had been hobby-chasing for two years.

2016

2017-2018

We established our social media presence and began sharing supplemental weather information and pertinent forecasts. We accumulated about 2,000 followers during this time and continued to storm-chase in the midwest. We acquired modest yearly funding to share chase media.

2019

We continued to expand our social media reach and partnered with the National Weather Service as a Weather Ready Nation Ambassador. We expanded to nearly 5,000 followers and began initial inquiries into inequities of severe weather impacts across diverse communities.

2020

We now have nearly 10,000 followers on Facebook and have officially launched our Discord server, which we hope to use to provide additional access to NOAA Weather Radios, severe weather forecasts and pertinent weather information. We hope to support initial commercial clients to consult and advise their expenditures in relation to weather-relevant business impacts.
